Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how MoleSignal handles personal information when people use MoleSignal Cloud, our websites, public status pages, and support channels. It also explains the choices available to account holders and the responsibilities shared with the organizations that operate MoleSignal workspaces.
1. Scope and responsibilities
This Policy applies to the hosted services and online properties operated by MoleSignal. It does not govern a self-hosted MoleSignal deployment that is installed and controlled entirely by a customer; the operator of that deployment determines how its data is handled.
Organizations decide which telemetry and other content enters their workspaces. For personal information contained in Customer Data, the organization is normally the controller or business, and MoleSignal acts as its service provider or processor under the applicable agreement and documented instructions.
2. Information we collect
The information we receive depends on how a workspace is configured and which features are used. It may include:
- Account and workspace information, such as a name, work email address, authentication identifier, organization membership, role, preferences, and administrator-provided profile details.
- Customer Data, including logs, metrics, traces, profiles, browser or mobile telemetry, synthetic checks, dashboards, queries, alerts, incident records, integration data, and files submitted to support. Depending on customer configuration, this data may contain IP addresses, URLs, device or user identifiers, request metadata, and payload excerpts.
- Service and device information, such as IP address, browser and device type, approximate region derived from IP, access times, feature interactions, API activity, crash details, performance measurements, and security events.
- Support and commercial information, including communications with us, troubleshooting materials, account-administration details, subscription records, and limited billing metadata. Payment-card details, when required, are handled by the relevant payment provider rather than stored in full by MoleSignal.
- Cookies and local storage used to maintain a session, remember authentication choices, preserve language and theme preferences, protect the service, and understand whether core product features operate correctly.
3. How we use information
We use information only for legitimate product, security, support, business, and legal purposes, including to:
Where law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of a contract, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, compliance with legal obligations, or consent when consent is the appropriate basis. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use Customer Data to train a general-purpose AI model unless the customer has expressly agreed to that separate use.
- Create and administer accounts, authenticate users, enforce workspace permissions, and provide the observability, investigation, alerting, reporting, status-page, and collaboration features a customer requests.
- Ingest, organize, search, display, export, and retain Customer Data according to workspace configuration and customer instructions.
- Detect abuse, investigate security events, maintain audit records, prevent unauthorized access, and protect users, MoleSignal, and the public.
- Answer support requests, diagnose faults, communicate operational or account notices, and manage subscriptions and service relationships.
- Measure reliability and product usage, improve performance and accessibility, and develop features using aggregated or de-identified information where practical.
- Comply with law, enforce agreements, establish or defend legal claims, and complete a corporate transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
4. When information is shared
MoleSignal limits disclosure to situations needed to operate the service or meet a valid obligation. Recipients may include:
- Infrastructure, hosting, security, communications, analytics, support, and payment providers that perform services for MoleSignal under contractual confidentiality and data-protection commitments.
- Workspace owners, administrators, and other members according to the permissions configured by the customer.
- Third-party integrations that a customer enables. Information sent to an integration is then governed by that provider's terms and privacy practices.
- Courts, regulators, law enforcement, or other parties when disclosure is legally required or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, service integrity, or the public.
- A successor or transaction participant in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale, with protections appropriate to the information and the stage of the transaction.
5. Retention and deletion
Customer Data is retained according to the workspace plan, configured retention settings, customer instructions, and any applicable service agreement. Account, security, billing, and support records are kept only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected, including fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and legal compliance.
When information is deleted, copies may remain for a limited period in encrypted backups, disaster-recovery systems, or immutable security logs. Those copies are isolated from normal use and are removed or overwritten through the applicable retention cycle unless preservation is legally required.
6. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed for the nature of the service, including access controls, encryption in transit, monitoring, change management, and incident-response procedures. No service can eliminate every risk, so customers should configure access carefully and avoid sending data that is not needed for observability.
Customers are responsible for protecting their credentials, managing workspace permissions and integrations, selecting appropriate retention and masking settings, and notifying MoleSignal promptly if they suspect unauthorized use.
7. International data transfers
MoleSignal and its providers may process information in countries other than the country where it was collected. When required, we use contractual, organizational, or other recognized safeguards intended to protect information during those transfers. Enterprise customers may contact us for transfer terms applicable to their service arrangement.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on location, a person may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a portable copy of personal information, and may be able to withdraw consent or appeal a decision. Some information can be edited directly in account settings. Requests may be limited where an exception applies or identity cannot be verified.
If information was submitted through an employer or another MoleSignal customer, contact that organization first because it controls the workspace and can identify the relevant data. MoleSignal will support customers in responding to verified requests as required by the service agreement and applicable law.
9. Children
MoleSignal is a service for organizations and technical professionals, not a consumer service directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child who is not legally able to consent to the service. Contact us if you believe a child provided information directly to MoleSignal without appropriate authorization.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy as the service, our practices, or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be revised, and a material change will be communicated through the service or another reasonable channel before it takes effect when required.
